6th Annual Cause For Paws Fundraiser

Our 6th annual fall fundraiser, Cause For Paws, will be held on Saturday, September 14th from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Shennecossett Yacht Club in Groton (get directions). This event will feature a wine and beer tasting with more than a dozen vendors coordinated by The Grapevine. We will also raffle off donated baskets filled with everything from chocolate, wine, and cookies to beauty and food. There will also be music and hot and cold hors d’oeuvres. Did we mention the dance lessons? This promises to be our best event ever.

As always, the best part is that all proceeds from this fun night go to benefit the animals at the Groton Animal Control facility. The generosity of our community makes it possible for many more animals to find good, loving homes. This would not be possible without the support of our friends and neighbors.

Cause For Paws tickets are $30 in advance, and $35 at the door. You can purchase tickets at The Grapevine, 766 Long Hill Rd, Groton, CT or call (860) 446-8053. You may also order tickets online by clicking here. Bring all your friends.

We look forward to seeing you for a great night in September!

I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank all of our donors. As the Animal Control Officer I am on the front lines and see how each and every donation no matter how big or small helps to improve the lives of all the animals that come through the Groton Animal Control Facility. I can’t express in words my gratitude for people like you who truly makes a difference in an animal’s life at the local level.

I make and sell jewelry on a small scale, part time basis. Knowing it is the kitten season, I decided to donate 100% of my June proceeds to animals in need. It isn’t much but I help it helps! Thank you for all you do
