Recent grants

The Community Foundation of Eastern Connecticut recently award GAF a $5000 grant. In addition, we received a $1000 grant from Pfizer. These generous grants allow us to continue to provide vital support to the animals impounded at Groton Animal Control.

The Groton Pet Food Pantry

Groton Human Services is now handing out free dog food, cat food, and kitty litter to people in need.

Pet owners who may be struggling to feed their pets can now call Groton Social Services at 860.441.6760 to request an appointment to pick up the food.
